Trainz: A New Era Coming 27 February 2015!

Today it was announced that Trainz: A New Era will be releasing on 27 February 2015 for PC and Mac. The following feature were highlighted in the press release:
  • New graphics engine with full world shadows and per-pixel lighting
  • Real-time physics feedback and editing tools
  • Procedural animated spline junctions
  • Realistic cab sway and external train motion
  • Configurable control schemes
  • Multi-window support
  • Multiplayer
  • In-game downloadable content system for both payware and freeware options
  • Access to over 250,000 free DLC items via The Download Station
Not much new there, also a video was posted today (below) which annoyingly seems to have a focus on graphics also not much new for people who have been following the development, but definatley worth watching multi-core processor support has been confirmed which will a huge advantage over Dovetail but probably not enough to get a reasonable market share here in the UK.

New T:ANE Screenshots!

Today NV3 Games have released new screenshots from their next generation Train Simulator: Trainz: A New Era which can be viewed below. None of the screenshots show anything from the UK so far.
The graphics are a little disappointing in my opinion they are still very recognizable as Trainz rather than closer to reality, the terrain looks too rounded and the track gauge looks a little narrow. Of-course it's simulation not graphics that counts though and we can't see that from some screenshots!
More information can be found on The Kickstarter Page.
